چکیده

Abstract Cement is a key material in the construction industry. However, this widespread use adversely affects environment. The replacement of cement with waste materials, mainly agricultural wastes, can reduce impact environmental pollution and result sustainable construction. Sago fine (SFW) fibrous residue from sago milling operations where physical treatment has been made. This study used SFW as partial brick effect adding to properties. Brick samples are designed five different percentages 2,4,6,8, 10% replacement, including control brick. mortar mix based on ratio 1:3, which follows Malaysian production standards. For compressive strength, density, water absorption tests, all specimens were cured for 7 28 days. strength bricks was investigated difference two water-cement ratios: 0.5 0.6. properties strength. experimental results show that brick’s decreased percentage increased. it still meets requirements standard load-bearing structures. Analysis according extensive data collection, ideal composition 2% 0.6 ratios. demonstrates SFW’s promise novel pozzolanic producing more bricks. As result, could improve bricks’ mechanical curing time increases.

Experimental Study on Mechanical and Hydrological Properties of Pervious Concrete with Different Water Cement Ratio

The aim of this research was to study the effect of various water-to-cement ratio on the properties of pervious concrete. Tests were carried out to find the optimum water-to-cement ratio that gives a high compressive strength with acceptable permeability. The tests of fresh density, compressive strength at 7days, porosity and water permeability for four mixes of pervious concrete with various w...

Early-Age Properties of Cement-Based Materials: II. Influence of Water-to-Cement Ratio

The influence of water-to-cement mass ratio (w/c) on early-age properties of cementbased materials is investigated using a variety of experimental techniques. Properties that are critical to the early-age performance of these materials are tested, including heat release, semiadiabatic temperature, setting time, autogenous deformation, and strength development. Measurements of these properties u...

Polymer-Cement Composites Containing Waste Perlite Powder

Polymer-cement composites (PCCs) are materials in which the polymer and mineral binder create an interpenetrating network and co-operate, significantly improving the performance of the material. On the other hand, the need for the utilization of waste materials is a demand of sustainable construction. Various mineral powders, such as fly ash or blast-furnace slag, are successfully used for the ...
